Fall is my favorite time of year, well at least when it comes to beer. Pumpkin beers might just be my favorite specialty, or seasonal or whatever you want to call it beers.

Masthead Brewing Co. is one of my favorite Breweries. Their Single Origin Coffee Stout is one of my “go to” beers. I love it. I found their Haunted Hayride Pumpkin Ale at Erik’s Grocery Bag and it’s is super good.

Last night was the perfect front porch drinking night. We ordered pizzas, had friends over and enjoyed the cool night air. Now I profess that I’m no expert in pairing beers and foods because to me, all beers go with all foods. But this beer for some reason tasted really good with Zepp’s Pizza.

The beer is light in color, light tasting and delicious. A lot of pumpkin beers I’ve had leave an after taste, not this one. Masthead Brewing did an awesome.

I’ll definitely have more of these before the season ends. If you like pumpkin beers as much as I do… give Masthead Brewing’s Haunted Hayride Pumpkin Ale a try.

This review is Oliver approved. He stayed with me the whole time writing it. P.S. Leftover Zepp’s pizza is on the menu for breakfast. Mmmmm
