Well. What can I say that hasn’t already been said about the Covid-19 lockdown?

We’ve all become inventive dealing with the social distancing and the 3 Guys are no exception. Jamie had an idea when our lockdown was enacted to have virtual get-togethers so that we can still stay true to our cause and try and rate craft beers while maintaining our distance.

To take it a step further… “why not make it a Facebook Live event?” Jamie said.

So, every Saturday night, at 8:30 pm we get together, live, on our 3 Guys 6 Beers Facebook page, invite friends to join us, and we talk with each other, drink beers and hang out with our friends. It’s actually really run.

This was a picture from last night’s get together. Oh we talked about all kinds of things from TV shows we’re watching, to food we’re cooking to the funniest memes we’ve seen about the Corona. Be sure to take a look at our dedunkiing of the a couple of Corona myths on our YouTube channel. Pretty much business as usual except for the fact that we weren’t sitting next to each other. But we will. We will again soon, but until then… ya gotta do, whatcha gotta do.

So, on to the beer.

The first beer of the night was Peach Fork from Maize Valley. I really love the art on the label it’s super cool. The beer was light and really drinkable. You could really taste the peach but it wasn’t overpowering so it’s not like a fruity beer… it’s just enough fruity tasting. This beer would be fantastic on a hot summer day sitting on our front porch or at Maize Valley in their cool winery. If you’re local and haven’t been to Maize Valley, you should do yourself a favor. There’s always something going on there just take a look at their website maizevalley.com.

As we head into week three of the lockdown, we’ll keep doing what we’re doing and getting through this. I’m lucky enough to have actual “work” projects to work on along with the list of “home” projects I’ve created for myself. I told Jamie and TJ last night that I’m really enjoying all the home cooking we’re doing. It might be my favorite part of the lockdown. But don’t get me wrong… I’m so looking forward to being able to get together for real AND go out for diner and have some delicious beers “out there”.

Be safe everyone. Take care of yourselves and we’ll see each other soon. Cheers!
